The Vengeful Orb

Play as a rocket engineer who desires to save his deceased brother from the depths of Hell!

This was submitted to the Game Maker's Toolkit 2019 Game Jam. The theme was "Only One," as in the player having only one of something that he/she normally has much more of in a certain video game genre. This game attempts to fit the theme by being a "space shooter" with only one "bullet!"

I was part of a team of three: I was the graphics and sound effect designer (and I helped come up with the idea for the game), Gil H. Steinberg made a wonderful piece of energetic music for the game (and helped a little while we came up with the idea for the game), and Discord user FricativeMelon was the programmer who used Love2D to masterfully stitch these assets together (he also helped come up with the game's idea).

I personally thank my other teammates for doing such a wonderful job, and I thank God for giving us the abilities to make a game that will hopefully provide you with a fun, entertaining experience.

Note:

What the game doesn't tell you is that you have to click the window to send the orb flying at first. When you first play the game, you don't need to do this because you need to click to get past the instructions screen. However, when you restart the game (which you will probably need to do many times :) ), you don't see the instructions screen and thus need to click to get the orb flying.
